Because you can't really find people like me...

Why Hire Me?

Let me count the ways (in summary):

  • I have outstanding technical competence and ability in multiple areas. I can often replace multiple people.
  • I have extremely wide ranging Deep Skills and flexibility.
  • When I hit something new...I learn it, master it, and build as necessary tools for it. I don't let Challenges or things stop me.
  • I have High Standards and Quality. My databases, data warehouses, ETL, OLAP cubes, and software work very well and have significantly fewer bugs than those built by others. Build it right the first time and you'll minimize problems later...
  • I innovate, improve, and automate as a matter of course.
  • I Fast Evolve database systems, OLAP cubes, and software. I can see the way to good to excellent implementations from the start and thus quickly build 2nd and 3rd generation system while others build buggy and poorly implemented 1st level systems and struggle to maintain them.
  • I get along with a wide range of diverse people. Good people like me and appreciate me.
  • I'm honest...and I document and teach.

And here's a few things that I am not:

  1. I'm not Political - I don't make waves...I'm just not political at all. I support my manager and team mates. I get along with other people in other departments. I focus on getting the job done and helping others when needed...Not the political side of things. Not interested in building kingdoms.
  2. I sometime scare people who are not really Competent and want to play the Guru Game - I have a book to right about the Guru Game...You know when your Devs build a system without any documentation, don't want to teach or train others, and secret away everything about everything...This is the Guru Game as I call it...and it's really rather pervasive and common...And its the bane of companies and software dev organizations everywhere! I don't play the Guru Game...So those that do...Don't really appreciate me. I live by my competency and ability not by building walls and Guru Kingdoms. I really gotta finish that book...
  3. I don't focus on the Front End - I do Blazor front ends...but I really don't like JavaScript...So I avoid a lot of front end work. I focus on and concentrate on the back end which most people don't really see or perceive and thus don't really know how important it is. Can I do JavaScript? Yes, when/if I need to...But really how many languages can a person do...Competently? I like .NET for many reasons including it's versatility. I do different databases including NoSQL. And I do and use many tools...But primarily I stay with the Back End as there is only so many languages, systems, tools, DBs, etc. that one can do and still stay good to excellent in them.

Oh! And here are some additional pluses:

  • I have a totally clean background...So background checks will come back clean.
  • I also gained Public Trust Security Clearance from the US government some years back so I'm also clean there.
  • I'm HIPAA Certified multiple times...That's easy and useful and necessary when working in the health care industry and with health care data.

So I think this is a good summary.

Anything more...Just ask me!
